Where do we begin?
SPRING/SUMMER-We offer vacation packages that include horseback riding, rafting, fishing and mountain biking. If you’re one of those that likes to “do-it-yourself”, there are endless opportunities for hiking, fishing and drinking in the beautiful views.
RiverStone Family Lodge and Cabins is located about 10 miles from the shore of Lake Koocanusa and surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest. Lake Koocanusa is a 95 mile lake and gives ample opportunity for wildlife viewing, swimming, fishing (rainbow trout, whitefish, kookanee salmon, cutthroat trout and bull trout) and boating. The Kootenai National Forest is located in the Northwest corner of Montana and the Northeast corner of Idaho on the Canadian border. It encompasses over 2.2 million acres! After a peaceful night’s rest at RiverStone you can explore the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness, Kootenai River, Tobacco River or any point in between.
Remember, in the summer in Eureka, the sun doesn’t set until 10 pm and rises at 5 am, so there’s plenty of time to get in as many activites as you can.
FALL- Most summer activites are still available and the views from our valley are spectacular in the fall. With the leaves changing and the crisp mountain air, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t thought of visiting us before! We offer guided hunts through MeadowCreek Outfitters throughout the fall and Montana also has a spring hunting season.
WINTER- Whether your idea of a good activity is curling up by the Lodge fire and reading a good book or seeing the country-side on the back of a snowmobile, winter in Northwest Montana has many possibilities! We offer ½ day and whole day snowmobiling packages and there are many trails within just a few miles of the Lodge that are accessible for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. RiverStone Lodge is within an hour of 4 fantastic ski slopes. On the United States side is Big Mountain in Kalispell, MT and Turner Mountain in Libby, MT. Our neighbors to the north in Canada offer skiing at Fernie Resort, Fernie, B.C. and Kimberley Alpine Resort near Cranbrook, British Colombia.
